I wanted to take a moment and reach out to say thank you for visiting The Endo Shop. It means so much to me that you are taking the time to visit the store because it has been a dream of mine for so long and I have finally been able to make it a reality.
I also wanted to let you all know a little more about me, so here is my rather long story:
In 2007 I was officially diagnosed with Stage IV Endometriosis after I collapsed in pain at work due to a large chocolate cyst on my right ovary having burst. I had a laparotomy to deal with that (which is similar to a c-section) and they found that the cyst was the size of a small watermelon and held over five cups of fluid - yuck. My abdomen and pelvic region were riddled with Endometriosis and the Doctor was not sure if my right ovary would be functional after I healed from the surgery. It took me quite a while to heal from the surgery and I never was quite the same with all of the different treatments I have undergone for the disease but thankfully I have had the support of my amazing husband each and every step of the way.
We tried for many years to conceive a baby, as you may know, Endometriosis can cause fertility issues, and unfortunately we lost two precious babies to miscarriage before I underwent another surgery to remove even more Endometriosis and adhesion's in the hope that it would help. Finally, after many years, we were blessed with our rainbow baby, Nadezhda (Ukrainian for Hope).
However, because of my illness there were many complications with the pregnancy and once I delivered a beautiful and healthy Dezzy I myself suffered with late onset HELLP Syndrome which almost took me away from my family for good. Thankfully, I recovered from that as well and have spent every single day since grateful for the time I get to spend with my daughter and husband.
Endometriosis has been a very tough disease for me, I deal with daily pain and awful side effects from the treatments I use to keep it under control. It was because of my own personal struggles that I wanted to do something to ease the pain of other women who struggle with Endometriosis, PCOS, Dysmenorrhea, or any other menstrual pain or period pain.
Shortly after I was diagnosed I realized that there was no single place that you could go to find the items that you wanted to help yourself feel better and most of us certainly don't have the energy to go shopping around at multiple locations during a bad flare up!
I dreamed of one day opening a store where you could go and find these items for comfort and healing. I wanted it to be a place that understood what it was like to suffer with these diseases and truly wanted to help, and here it is!
I have put my heart and soul into this shop and I continue to spend many, many hours every week looking for even more products and resources that may help ease the pain or just bring a little bit of comfort to my Endo Sisters.
Thank you again for taking the time to visit, it really does mean the world to me and my family that you are here.
